SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly organized Executive Assistant / House Manager to support a private family in La Jolla. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic household environment.


This role requires exceptional organizational and administrative skills, strong vendor and staff management experience, and a calm, professional presence.

The candidate will oversee household operations, manage construction and maintenance projects, coordinate staff and vendors, and support the family’s day-to-day logistics.


We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, proven reliability, and the ability to anticipate needs with discretion and efficiency.


REQUIREMENTS.

  • Minimum 3 years of executive assistant or household management experience.

  • Background in construction coordination and home management.

  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks with grace and precision.

  • Exceptional organizational, correspondence, and follow-up skills.

  • Local to San Diego County with reliable transportation to La Jolla.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

  • Flexible availability (occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required).

  • Professional, pleasant, and quietly confident demeanor.

  • Professional references required.

  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.


PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Construction & Maintenance: Coordinate vendors, oversee ongoing construction/renovation projects, and manage household maintenance.

  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage household staff (housekeepers, chefs, service providers).

  • Administrative Support: Handle scheduling, orders, returns, vendor coordination, and complex household logistics.

  • Vendor & Relationship Oversight: Build strong working relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.

  • Project Oversight: Provide clear timelines and ensure smooth execution of household and construction projects.

  • Family Support: Assist with daily logistics and administrative needs while maintaining utmost discretion and professionalism.
