SUMMARY
A private residence in Mission Hills is seeking a highly experienced, detail‑oriented, and dependable Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support the daily operations of a 2,500‑square‑foot home. This is a long‑term, W‑2 position offering a fixed annual salary and an average schedule of approximately 40 hours per week. The principals are looking for a trusted professional who can become an integral part of their household, providing exceptional service, flexibility, and consistent support.
While housekeeping and general household assistance are important aspects of the role, the primary responsibility is the care, safety, and well‑being of the family’s three beloved dogs. The dogs are considered cherished members of the family, and the principals’ top priority. The ideal candidate must genuinely love dogs and have substantial hands‑on experience in professional animal care—whether in private homes, veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, dog training, or similar environments.
The role includes full oversight of the dogs’ daily routines, feeding schedules, exercise, enrichment, health monitoring, and coordination of veterinary and daycare services. The principals are seeking someone attentive, proactive, and deeply committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for the dogs at all times.
In addition to animal care, the Housekeeper / Household Assistant will maintain the home to exceptional standards, with a strong emphasis on laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, organization, and overall household presentation. Additional duties include light meal preparation, inventory management, appointment coordination, and ensuring the residence is consistently prepared for the principals’ arrival.
A key component of this position is serving as a trusted presence in the home when the principals are traveling. They divide their time between Mission Hills and Los Angeles (Hollywood Hills), and the candidate will spend significant time at the Mission Hills residence during their absences to ensure the property remains secure, clean, and fully maintained. This includes restocking supplies, addressing household needs, and ensuring the home is always guest‑ready. The candidate must also be comfortable staying at the Los Angeles residence approximately once per month for up to four consecutive days.
This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and excellent communication. Workdays may vary—some lighter and some, more active—depending on household needs. A collaborative, service‑oriented mindset is essential.
